5 Helpful Food Allergy Apps

After I got out of the hospital last year, I wasn’t sure how I was going to find recipes, or know anything really. I was worried I would miss something when I went out somewhere and end up in trouble. But, sometimes there’s things that can help… Like apps. Apps are very helpful. Here are a few I’ve found to be awesome! 🙂

1. iAvoid

This app gives you all the different sources and names of the different things that contain that allergen. It’s very helpful, especially if you’re new at this whole allergy thing or don’t know much about the different ingredients.

2. Forks Over Knives

Forks over Knives (FOK)  is a plant based/vegan dietary cookbook. Vegan meals aren’t always allergy friendly but you can simply put in that you don’t want recipes with either gluten or nuts, and then the meals become very friendly and useful. And they’re very good as well!  🙂

3. Pinterest

Pinterest is awesome! Plus addicting! They have all sorts of allergy free pages and it’s very helpful.

4. Yummly

Yummly is a great online recipe app. It’s not vegan, unless you want it to be. But you simply type in your allergies and it spits out recipes at you.

5. Allergy

So, I like keeping up on the latest journals and doctors on new developments when it comes to food allergies. This is a great database and journal to help you keep up with cool stuff.

So, there you have it! 5 very helpful food allergy apps. God bless you!
